Still need a holiday gift for the beauty fanatic who really, really has everything?  Guerlain’s limited edition fragrances are the answer. The iconic French perfumer is responsible of some of the most exclusive potions ever created, and has paired them with decadent bottles to match.

Sure, prices for the larger-than-life bottles start at four figures and climb from there, but you certainly won’t have to worry about anyone else bestowing the same thing. Just think of them as haute couture in fragrance form. Produced with collaborators like jewelers Maison Gripoix, and embroidery house Lesage — allowed names in luxury fashion circles — Guerlain’s rarefied capsule collection has the same handiwork as runway masterpieces.

Shalimar Times Two

Ah, Shalimar: The name alone conjures femmes fatales, intrigue…all things French and seductive. Choose from two different takes on Guerlain’s signature fragrance, the legendary original, or the lighter Shalimar Parfum Initial, with notes of jasmine, iris and May rose. Each is adorned with an ornate jewel in 24-karat gold and glass from Maison Gripoix that you’ll want to borrow from the bottle.

Blue Period

Women have been dabbing L’Heure Bleue behind their ears since 1912. To celebrate the century milestone, Guerlain has released 43 anniversary edition bottles of the fragrance in a colossal size that’s big enough keep you supplied for a hundred years more.

Or opt for a set containing four variations on L’Heure Bleue, the original formula, plus three more—each intended for a different time of day—all housed in a navy velvet box with silver embroidery by  the famed embroiderer to couturiers, Lesage.

Black Magic

Named for every woman’s indispensable wardrobe item, Guerlain’s fragrance La Petite Robe Noire has sparkling notes of black tea, patchouli and black cherry. The whimsical scent is perfectly suited to its vintage Baccarat bottle bearing the image of a Parisienne trailing a chic little black dress.

Buzz worthy

Leave it to Guerlain to make an outsized insect incredibly alluring. This bee-shaped crystal bottle created by Baccarat contains the perfume Rêve de Lune, a blend of white floral and sultry spicy notes. Only 50 are available worldwide.

Rarer still, is the made-to-order diamond and platinum Secret de la Reine pendant crafted with jeweler Lorenz Bäumer. The jewel-studded bee does double duty as a petite, portable perfume flacon. The recipient’s Guerlain fragrance of choice is part of the pretty package.

A Stella Performance!

Stella McCartney stopped by Saks in Boca Raton for some styling and do-gooding

We are honored that the positively fabulous Stella McCartney swung by our Boca Raton store earlier this month to celebrate the opening of her new shop. The in-store event, following a private dinner with top clients, benefited the Florence Fuller Child Development Centers.

Models pose en scene in looks from the Stella McCartney resort collection.

Musical chairs, anyone?

Alber Says

A celebration of Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz as the house’s newest bags hit Saks!

Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz is a thoughtful designer. He is known in the industry for sprinkling his conversation with fashionable aphorisms — or, shall we say, Alberisms. His sayings, like his gorgeous creations, demonstrate a clear perception of what women desire and what makes them look and feel beautiful. Elbaz of late, has turned his attention to perfecting the maison’s handbag range, playing with volumes and weights, using new luxe materials and adding handy features, such as extra pockets. Case in point: The house’s New Partition bag, available at in different sizes and in a range of bright hues —from electric blue to pumpkin orange — with a chain strap, artisanal hand-stitching details and an Art Deco-style clasp. The new resort 2013 collection is now available…

Eva’s Picks!

Still need help finding the right gift? Eva Chen tells us what’s on her gift list for the holidays — and we’re inspired!

Most years, I vacillate between buying presents obscenely early (I jot notes in my Smythson planner throughout the year) and desperately last minute (I have been That Girl at Staples buying printers and office supplies as gift, yes). This year, between commuting between Los Angeles and planning a month-long sojourn to Asia, I’ve been all about big-impact shopping: one store, one website—boom—get it all done! With that in mind, here’s my Present Perfect holiday gift list for my nearest and dearest. —Eva Chen, evachen212.tumblr.com For My Father For my wonderful father from whom I learned extreme, obsessive organization, a multi-pocketed Tumi backpack. For My Father

For my wonderful father from whom I learned extreme, obsessive organization, a multi-pocketed Tumi backpack.

(and, of course, because I love him so much I want him to be warm and toasty in frigid NYC winters): Canada Goose Parka.

For My Mother

My mother taught me everything I know about fashion and shopping. She obviously needs a matching parka to my father because that would be beyond cute.

On a recent trip to Beverly Hills, she discovered the flattering wonders of Reed Krakoff. This sweater is classic-chic, just like her.

And a chic Prada cross body bag that’s perfectly portable.

For My Husband

My husband and I are moving to Los Angeles in January. Pale British gent, California sun: you do the math. Hence the first item I’d gift him.

In LA, you’re only as cool as your sunglasses (just made up that edict, but it seems true, no?).

Casual-cool sneakers don’t have to be scruffy with these luxe kicks.

For My Brother

For my brother who just moved to Brooklyn: a casual—but luxe—head-to-toe hip(ster) outfit: Prada Puffer hat, Alex Wang Varsity JacketVince cords, Marc Jacobs boots.

For My Sister-In-Law

For my sister-in-law, for whom I’m a bad shoe influence—she buys wonderfully comfortable (aka flat) shoes. That’s definitely not a rule I live by and therefore I’d gift her these (the fact that they’re black makes them practical, no?): Nicholas Kirkwood booties.

For Myself

And because I firmly believe in a “one for me, one for you” policy during the holidays, I’d treat myself to (just a few) treats.

Trends come and go but Manolos are forever.

Nothing says ‘holiday’ like classic Valentino red (and lace!).

And… to prep myself for fun in the sun, these sunglasses.

Eva Chen’s New York Holiday

This native New Yorker has style in the shopping bag!

The sudden smell of pine trees as you walk by the Christmas tree salesmen perched at every corner, the glow of Fifth Avenue shops all dressed up in thousands of twinkling lights, the sight of tourists huddled over maps — and chicly bundled New Yorkers striding right by them… There’s an extra dash of magic about Manhattan in December. As a native New Yorker, I grew up with my own set of winter traditions. As someone who goes to Paris at least twice a year, I’m quite finicky about my croissants (too dry! too flaky! too buttery! not buttery enough!). Soho institution Balthazar, however, has the best croissants outside of Paris. It’s also the perfect spot to stop at in the mornings — to pick up baguettes (for the holiday season’s endless march of dinner parties), have a spot of tea, and for the absolutely best people-watching downtown.

Hat, Eva’s own; Jacket, Rag & Bone; Handbag, Marc Jacobs; Shoes, Valentino.

The Manhattan equivalent of stopping to smell the roses is to walk — and take the long route as often as possible. There isn’t a street in NYC that doesn’t have character, especially in Soho, Nolita, Tribeca, and the Lower East Side.

Hat, Eva’s own; Jacket, Rag & Bone; Handbag, Marc Jacobs; Shoes, Valentino.

It’s a mad, mad world — especially when it comes to nail art in New York City! At Valley Nails in Nolita, no request is too detailed. From simple manicures (by that I mean a classic nude, but in their book that’d mean ombre glitter!) to ultra-detailed reproductions of straight-off-the-runway patterns, Valley offers top-notch manicures and pedicures in regular polish as well as gel.

Clutch, 3.1 Phillip Lim

It’s not for the faint of heart, but biking is the quickest way to get around Manhattan. My rules: stick to the bike lanes, be aware of taxis/buses/other bikers, and — as bikers are street style fodder like no other — look chic!

Coat, BCBGMAXAZRIA; Clutch, Yves Saint Laurent; Booties, Alaïa; Hat, Sunglasses, Skirt, Eva’s own.

Ebony and Ivory: my nicknames for New York’s most darling dogs Otto and Teddy (I’m biased, of course). Their park of choice — and mine as well — is Washington Square Park, which just underwent a beautiful restoration.

Hat, Pologeorgis; Crossbody Bag, Marc by Marc Jacobs; Shoes, Valentino; Sunglasses, Jacket, Skirt, Eva’s own.

No holiday season is complete without a Saks spree. But as holiday shopping is decidedly hard work, I operate with a strict “one for you, one for me” policy when picking presents!

Hat, Eric Javits; Coat, Burberry Prorsum
